Common Expressions : Out of my league

Idiom : Out of my league

If someone is out of your league, that means he/she is apparently beyond you because he/she is better-looking than you, sexier, richer, smarter, more attractive .. and that why you feel unworthy or pathetic.

Sometimes he/she can do something you are not prepared for. Here we’reĀ  talking about abilities.

It isn’t a kind phrase but still one of the common expressions among close friends and family.

Let’s see some examples :

– No way ! she’s always out of my league and I’m not going to ask her out.

– I need a car, but Mercedes is a little out of my league. So, let’s see another car, please!

– Shakira’s always out of anyone’s league. 44 years old but still a babe !
