Idiom : Get your feet wet

If you are one of those guys who have had no experience to mastering skills and then you started a move to gain your first experience of learning new things, improving a skill or developing a project, you get you feet wet.

We mostly use this expression when we talk about new experience that involves taking a risk.

Let’s see some examples :

– They need some time to do their job right. I mean they just got their feet wet, give them some time, please!

– Let’s do it ! You can even invest all your money in this. It’s time to get your feet wet.

– I can’t wait to start my first class teaching and get my feet wet.
